About Neoteric UK

Emerging technology and innovation - AI, deep tech, science reaching industry and clean energy, explained clearly.

What we cover

How we work

We work from primary sources: peer-reviewed research and preprints, company and laboratory announcements, patent filings, standards bodies and official data, and the researchers and companies involved. Where we learn of a story from a press release or another publication, we treat it as a lead and go back to the original source before we write.

We do not republish press releases as articles, and we do not rewrite other publications' reporting. Where a claim rests on a filing, a dataset or an official announcement, we link to it.

Some of our reporting is produced with the assistance of AI tools. Every story is reviewed by a human editor before it is published. We publish under the name of the publication rather than under individual bylines.

Our approach

Neoteric UK is a new title, launching in 2026. We are building a running record of emerging technology in and beyond the UK: the research reaching industry, the companies commercialising it, and the breakthroughs in AI, deep tech, science and clean energy that are shaping tomorrow.

Our reporting is journalism about technology, written to inform rather than to sell. We try to separate what is proven from what is promising and what is still speculative, and it is published for general information rather than as technical, financial or professional advice.

We would rather publish fewer stories and get them right than chase every headline.

Corrections

If we have got something wrong, tell us at editor@neotericuk.co.uk. We will correct it, and the article will say that it has been corrected and when. Our editorial standards set out how we handle this.

Contact

Full details, including what to send us, are on our contact page. Press officers should start there.
